Connecticut guests might be interested in several Long Island destinations for a Full Day aboard or a weekend adventure:
—The town of Northport, NY is a great option, and a personal favorite of Captain Eautha. The town offers many unique restaurants and shops, its charming small-town feel with access to everything from its waterfront. Music festivals are also frequent in the Town Park right on the water. There is a planetarium and a wine vineyard nearby that require reservations.
—Also, Oyster Bay, Cold Spring Harbor, and Huntington are all unique waterfront towns and hotspots that offer restaurants and fun things to do in the evenings, and once you have worn yourself out come back on the boat for a night’s sleep and wake up in the morning to French Press coffee and fresh fruit. Then take the launch in and there is a lovely bakery that serves breakfast muffins and can make sandwiches for the ride back!
—For more quiet nature trips, there are many beautiful unique coves and destinations both on the Connecticut and NY shorelines that are simply picturesque and offer a great day’s getaway for picnics, swimming, and lying in the sun. We have several boat floats that are fun to enjoy in the water as well!
